PCR testing hut in Hulhumale' for tourists departing from liveaboards

Reference is made to our Circular no. 88-SS/CIR/2020/54, dated 10th August 2020.

As mentioned in our circular, the COVID-19 test sampling booth has now been set up near Hulhumale’ Safari Jetty area.

This is the first PCR sampling booth set up in Hulhumale’ designated for tourists visiting safari vessels who require a pre-departure PCR test results.

This is an initiative by the National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM) in collaboration with Ministry of Tourism, Housing Development Cooperation (HDC), Health Protection Agency (HPA) and Maldives Police Services (MPS).

Samples will be taken on pre-booking basis and related cost of testing will be borne by NBAM. Tourist Vessels are requested to make a booking in advance and ensure that the samples are taken with sufficient time in advance for the test to be done and results are ready in time for tourist’s scheduled departure.

Furthermore, tourist vessels are requested to keep UTM kits available on board. For further details on UTM kits and PCR testing options please refer to the above mentioned circular.
